Penyal d'Ifac Natural Park

One of our most important natural parks is Penyal d’Ifac. This impressive park is located in the region of Marina Alta (Alicante), specifically in the town of Calpe. It is a formidable rock with an elevation of 332 m that is attached to the coast by a narrow isthmus of land.

Visitors find it unusual and, at the same time, impressive to see this powerful landscape. It is an ideal place for hiking, both for adults and the little ones. This large limestone massif supports important botanical species such as Ifach silene, thyme, wild pincushions and Valencian horseshoe vetch.

As for the bird fauna, seabirds can be observed at the rock, and water birds can be seen in the salt lakes, including a wide variety of species such as the peregrine falcon, yellow-legged gull and pallid swift.

Everyone who reaches the top claims that it is one of the best views of the entire Region of Valencia.  The company of seagulls and other birds adds fun and excitement to the tour.
